Alejandra has been awarded a WWDC scholarship two times. Here are the submissions that got her there.
In 2024, applicants were tasked with creating an interactive app playground on the topic of their choice to showcase their passion for coding. New for 2024, 50 Distinguished Winners were recognized for their outstanding submissions and invited to Apple in Cupertino. Here’s how Alejandra describes her winning submission.
The project is an app developed to introduce people to the sport of climbing. The main section shows information about different types of climbing, general tips and provides a table with climbing grade conversions. Additionally, the app is more interactive by providing an AR View that shows different kinds of holds and tips on how to grab them. Finally, there is a logbook to add sessions and display results on charts to monitor progress over time.
