I’m Alex, a 16 year old iOS developer passionate about building apps that combine science and creativity. I love crafting experiences that make complex ideas simple, like helping people capture meteors on their phones or explore the solar system through interactive design. My work focuses on using Swift to create meaningful tools for users and scientists alike.

Scholarships

Alex has been awarded a WWDC scholarship two times. Here are the submissions that got him there.

In 2024, applicants were tasked with creating an interactive app playground on the topic of their choice to showcase their passion for coding. New for 2024, 50 Distinguished Winners were recognized for their outstanding submissions and invited to Apple in Cupertino. Here’s how Alex describes his winning submission.

Available on app store! Little planets is a fun AR game that helps people learn the planets in order by dragging them into the solar system. It’s designed for all ages and includes features to make it easier for kids and those with colorblindness or dyslexia. I plan to donate it to Stardome, Auckland’s astronomy museum, so even more people can enjoy learning about space in a much less dull way!
