In 2023, I began my journey into app and game development by joining the Apple Developer Academy UCB project.

In 2024, applicants were tasked with creating an interactive app playground on the topic of their choice to showcase their passion for coding. New for 2024, 50 Distinguished Winners were recognized for their outstanding submissions and invited to Apple in Cupertino. Here’s how João Victor describes his winning submission.
AsteroidHunt is an experience designed to promote Citizen Science. Citizen science involves community participation in science. In this experience, you can explore space with the aim of finding asteroids, just like in a real asteroid hunting project. After finding some asteroids cataloged by citizen scientists, you can name your own asteroid. At the end of the experience, you receive a certificate for helping to discover a new asteroid. With citizen science, anyone can become a scientist.
