In 2025, applicants were tasked with creating an interactive app playground on the topic of their choice to showcase their passion for coding. Here’s how Layza describes her winning submission.
Phono is an app designed to provide accessible support for individuals with speech disorders. Through extensive research into speech disorders and effective articulation techniques, I've incorporated key features into Phono: targeted phoneme exercises, engaging tongue twisters to enhance diction and focus, and a text recording feature to monitor speech progress over time, complete with readily available reading materials. Frameworks used: SwiftUI, CreateML, Speech, AVFoundation and Combine
