In 2025, applicants were tasked with creating an interactive app playground on the topic of their choice to showcase their passion for coding. Here’s how Hendrik describes his winning submission.
Dementi replicates the cognitive challenges of dementia through interactive tasks that simulate memory loss, disorientation, and confusion. Inspired by personal experience, the app transforms the confusing symptoms into a tangible and educational experience. In the "Experience" section, users directly engage with frustrating tasks, while the "Understand" and "Support" sections offer clear explanations and actionable insights, ensuring Dementi is suitable for the rather young target demographic.
