Hi, this is Min, an iOS Developer intern at the MSU Apple Developer Academy in Michigan. I was born and raised in Yangon, Myanmar 🇲🇲, and I’m a passionate Theravada Buddhist with a deep interest in technology, meditation, and psychology. I studied Business IT at the University of Greenwich and English at Dagon University. In 2024, applicants were tasked with creating an interactive app playground on the topic of their choice to showcase their passion for coding. New for 2024, 50 Distinguished Winners were recognized for their outstanding submissions and invited to Apple in Cupertino. Here’s how Min Thu describes his winning submission.
It is an app designed to honor the remarkable women of Myanmar’s past while inspiring future generations. Simply scan a 1000 Myanmar Kyat or 1 US dollar bill, and watch as the face of a notable woman appears in augmented reality, bridging history and the future in an engaging way.
