In 2025, applicants were tasked with creating an interactive app playground on the topic of their choice to showcase their passion for coding. Here’s how Vinod describes his winning submission.
When my grandma struggled to manage her diabetes, I built her a simple, elegant iOS app to log glucose, meals, and meds. I focused on making it feel native and comforting something she’d genuinely enjoy using. The app became more than a project, it was a way to care for someone I love. Winning the Swift Student Challenge 2025 and receiving a special invite to WWDC in person made it all the more meaningful.
