New for 2024, 50 Distinguished Winners were recognized for their outstanding submissions and invited to Apple in Cupertino. Here’s how Thiago describes his winning submission.
Parallelo is an app where the user is taken to Apple Park, where Steve Jobs in a pixel art version delivers a keynote on High Performance Computing, showcasing the importance of parallelism in computing. Then, he takes us to the Macintosh factories, where we use parallelization to increase factory productivity. With more workers working in parallel, we can build more Macintoshes in less time, but we must be cautious of resource dependency, as workers may compete for resources.
